Desolation Angel Radio

This week, we continue the Heron Kickoff shows, talking to Todd about the overall picture and feel of the season musically and talking with Payge and Jen about ticketing for events, camping, reserving AirBnB's, volunteering, and an overview of how everything works for the entire season; camping and festivals and the Heron. Music this week from from Upstate, The Plate Scrapers, Dirty Blanket, Folkfaces, Bella's Bartok, The Arcadian Wild, Kitestring, December Wind, Root Shock and John Welton and the Awakening. An hour full of information and music. Enjoy.

We kick off the season with some news about the Great Blue Heron Music Festival, the Heron itself, all 4 other music weekends, the Beyond the Blue Weekends, and the camp itself with an interview with Julie Rockcastle, and music from just some of the bands playing this summer, and how to stay in tune to what's happening, and what's upcoming through the coming weeks and months. Enjoy, subscribe and share, often and widely.

A welcome episode for the first day of Spring. Some news on several fronts, and music from Lucero, Beth Hart, North Mississippi AllStars, John Mellencamp, Tedeschi Trucks, Sean Rowe and more. Sit back, relax, enjoy, nothing's changed and everything has changed.

A sampling of cuts from the artists playing this upcoming weekend at the Heron Farm and Events Center; The Observers, Mo' Mojo, Maddy Walsh and The Blindspots, The Bones of J.R. Jones and Ryan Montbleau and information on ticketing, camping and the weekend out there.

The return show, the last 7 years all contained here, broadcast and recorded on Labor Day 2020. Every last thing, here, in song.

Some timely, topical music from Tre Burt and Mickey Guyton, and new music from people that haven't been heard from in a while like Mary Chapin-Carpenter and Kathleen Edwards. Stream, download, listen how you want, when you want. Enjoy

New music from Chris Stapleton, Drive-by Truckers, Sturgill Simpson, Bruce Springsteen, Lucero, Amanda Shires, Elizabeth Cook, Lydia Loveless, Dave Alvin and a whole lot more, and some updates on The Nomad Project and just plain making it through the rest of 2020.
