This week, in Pt. 10 of From There to Here, as I try to figure out how I got from there to here, we have an installment of the Comstock 75 Breakfast Club, with the people from last week, Diane Parker, John Stanaszek, Gina Hammond, Tom Bennett, Steve Schultz and this week we were joined by Paula Chase and Jill Baskerville. It all had a profound effect on me, and the conversation, an hour's worth, is fulfilling, delightful and fun. This one was very special to me. An hour spent with one of my oldest friends, (51 years of friendship) Craig, and with Matt and Pooch, all of us going back to the 70's and 80's as friends. They knew me when, and working with them in the band they had instilled in me a love of Americana and folk. For those who know me today, they know all the secrets and all the dirt, and we weren't afraid to talk about any of it, and it all came out. You get to here where the Kip you know today came from, and get to hear about some of my (mis)adventures. The centerpiece of it as an hour long interview I did with 16-17 voices representing a much larger number of people I was privileged to work with throughout 2020 & 2021. Some of the finest human beings I've ever met. Their words. Not the mechanics, or the 'what', but the 'who', and the feelings it brought about for us, and the bonds forged during that time, all while never meeting physically, but working together, day after day, tirelessly. Some of the best humans I've ever met.

Desolation Angel Radio - The Journey from There to Here Pt. 4

Tonight, this episode is centered around a 35-40 minute conversation I had today with JD Tarwater and Don Waterhawk. We're old friends that go back decades, and are truly friends and brothers. For anyone who knows us, it was a no filter, no censor conversation. You can imagine what that's like with the 3 of us. 
We open with some new music I like from Margo Price, Nicki Lane, Bruce Springsteen, The White Buffalo and Goodbye June and close after the conversation with a full set of mostly Lucero, who's playing at Buffalo Ironworks on Friday night, and there's a segment near the end where I namecheck a whole lot of people.
