Well then,
This one was a ton of fun to put together. I like doing theme shows, they're actually a ton of fun. This one was centered around, and featured the Bo Diddley beat, and how it's basic structure has influenced music for 5 decades now. It's one of those beats that is absolutely essential to a band to learn how to play live and make work. It's a beat so basic, and so great when it's done live, the baddest ass, coolest people in the room will get up and dance.
Bo Diddley (the original 1955 mono single) - Bo Diddley
Not Fade Away - Buddy Holly and The Crickets
Not Fade Away - The Rolling Stones
Magic Bus - The Who
1969 - The Stooges
Willie and The Hand Jive - George Thorogood and The Destroyers
No One To Run With - The Allman Brothers
Bo Diddley - Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
She's The One - Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
Bo Diddley's A Gunslinger/Bo Diddley - Warren Zevon
Who Do You Love? - Bo Diddley
Thanks for listening and supporting the show, and this one marked the kickoff of the Claire Marie Plaisance fund. It's a way for you to help make the world a little better place for a 2 year old girl. Just listen and you'll find out how. Thanks for supporting the music and the musicians.
Peace out,
Kip
