Long live rock. . . . .

So you think rock and roll is dead? That there's no life left in the blues, in rock, in country and there aren't any bands left that play it live, with no autotune, with no digital effects? That everything has been absorbed by the last 2 remaining record labels, by ClearChannel? Far from it!!! Scroll down and click "Listen Now" or "Play in pop-up" or "Download" and prepare to have your ears and mind blown. Rock is alive and well, and there's a ton of bands out there under the radar, road warriors who are slinging it every night, 300 nights a year that play across all genres, that bring authenticity, passion and roots to the music. Multi-instrumentalists and songwriters who believe in what they're doing and keep pouring their hearts and souls out night after night. Rock, country, blues, Americana, roots, authentic, passionate, I don't care what you call it, because it can't be categorized, it can only be played and heard, and touch that place inside people that only music can touch, where words aren't adequate. This week, there's 25 artists here and for the majority of you, 80% of them you've never heard of, not because they're not good enough, far from it. They're better than 95% of what's out there right now, but they refuse to play by the rules and won't let a producer or a label tell them "what sound sells". For them, it's not about maximizing profit, it's about the music and what the sound that lives inside their souls sounds like. I guarantee you this, if you stick around this week, you'll love 75% of what you hear, and like or appreciate the effort behind 100% of it. Guaranteed. Listen up, share the shit out of this, because it's not about me, it's about them, and what they're doing, and they deserve the support. Big props to my son, Cody Williams, and Nic Holcomb for turning me on to 4 of them, and big props to Shooter Jennings, and his website www.givememyxxx.com, for providing a safe haven and an umbrella for these artists and putting some organization behind the movement, and, personally for being a supporter of me and this broadcast. Keep on rockin' in the free world, like St. Christoper says, American rock and roll is the most important form of art in the history of humanity, period. Keep believing and never stop keeping the flame at the heart of the altar of the high church of Rock and Roll alive in your heart. Use the Green share button just below this to share it on Facebook and Twitter. Fan or Like Music that Doesn't Suck Canal Water or The Desolation Angel (or both) on Facebook, or just plain send a friend request to me, Kip Williams. Remember that you can subscribe to this broadcast in iTunes as well. If you want to know about any of these artists, use the comments section here, or the available e-mail, or Facebook to contact me, I'll tell you how to get to their websites, how to buy their music, what their tour schedule is. Just do it and keep listening, rock isn't dead, it never went away, it was just waiting for you to catch up. You can believe it, because I'm the Desolation Angel Peace out, Kip
